Playing is free, always. No purchase, subscription, Pixels or Pulse is ever required to play, to be ranked or to win. There is no entry fee.
Rankings depend only on the score you achieve. There is no draw and no random prize. Ties go to the player who reached the score first.
A day runs from midnight to midnight, Eastern time (America/Toronto). A week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59. Only your best score of the period counts.
Each rewarded game has a fixed pot of Pulse per period. The top 5 of the day and the top 10 of the week share it (40 / 25 / 15 / 12 / 8% daily, 30 / 20 / 13 / 9 / 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 / 3% weekly). Prizes are paid automatically into your Pulse balance shortly after the period ends. A period with fewer than 3 eligible players pays nothing. Arcade prizes are capped at 20,000 Pulse per player over any 7 days.
You must be signed in, your account must be at least 7 days old at the end of the period and not suspended. VPZONE staff (administrators, moderators, ambassadors) can play and appear on the boards but cannot win prizes. When a player is not eligible, the prize goes to the next eligible player.
Scores are checked automatically. Some games are replayed move by move on our servers; runs that are too short, too fast or impossible are held for review. Cheating, bots, scripts, multiple accounts or exploiting a bug void the scores concerned and can lead to the Pulse being removed and the account suspended. VPZONE may void any score it reasonably believes was not earned fairly. Games played on partner websites through an Arcade embed follow these same rules and count on the same leaderboards; a partner site cannot change a pot, a split or who is eligible.
Pulse has no cash value and cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money. Pixels obtained from Pulse can never be cashed out. See section 11 of the Terms of Service.
VPZONE may change pots, splits or these rules, or end the Arcade. A pot is paid as it stands when its period ends, so a change applies to every period that ends after it is published.
