Stream natively from a PS5 to VPZONE

Use the PS5 Broadcast on Twitch action to send your live stream to VPZONE. You can also simulcast to Twitch and synchronize both chats so you can read messages without leaving your game.

Independent and unofficial integration

VPZONE is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official partner of Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation, or Twitch. This experimental feature is not an official PlayStation or Twitch service.

PlayStation and PS5 are trademarks or registered trademarks of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. Twitch is a trademark of its respective owner. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

The VPZONE implementation was built independently from publicly documented technical concepts. These publicly accessible repositories were reviewed as technical proofs of concept:

VPZ+ required

Without an active VPZ+ membership, the API, Canada DNS, and stream admission automatically deny the connection.

Same network

Activate access from the same Wi-Fi/LAN as the PS5. The network authorization remains valid for 24 hours.

Synced chat

VPZONE ↔ Twitch works both ways. Messages sent from VPZONE use the [VPZ] prefix in Twitch chat.

Configuration

Complete setup

    Open the VPZONE PS5 settings

    Sign in to VPZONE, then open Dashboard → Stream → PS5 Streaming — VPZ+.

    Link and authorize Twitch

    Link the same Twitch account used on your PS5. Then authorize VPZONE to read your stream key. The temporary token used for this operation is revoked immediately.

    Enable synced chat

    Authorize Twitch chat separately. VPZONE messages will be sent to Twitch with the [VPZ] prefix, while Twitch messages will also appear in VPZONE.

    Choose the destination

    Keep VPZONE only to stream exclusively on VPZONE, or enable VPZONE + Twitch to publish on both platforms. You can only change this choice while offline.

    Authorize the network for 24 hours

    From a phone or computer connected to the same Wi-Fi/LAN as the PS5, select Activate this network. Do not use mobile data or a VPN for this step.

    Configure DNS on the PS5

    PS5 → Settings → Network → Settings → Set Up Internet Connection → select your network → Advanced Settings → DNS Settings → Manual.

    Primary DNS: 38.49.218.174
    Secondary DNS: leave it blank when possible. If the PS5 requires one, use 38.49.218.174 again.

    Start the live stream

    On the PS5, link the same Twitch account, open the Create menu, select Broadcast, then Twitch. The live stream will be sent to the destination selected in VPZONE.

Synced chat

VPZONE only

The VPZONE live stream and chat work without publishing the video to Twitch. With synced chat authorized, VPZONE messages remain visible in the PS5 Twitch broadcast interface.

  • VPZONE chat available on the web and PS5

VPZONE + Twitch

The same live stream is published on VPZONE and Twitch at the same time. A Twitch relay failure does not interrupt the VPZONE stream.

  • Viewers on both platforms
  • Two-way synchronized chat
  • Twitch alerts and statistics available
  • Destination can only be changed while offline

The live stream will not start?

  • Your VPZ+ membership is active.
  • The Twitch account linked to VPZONE exactly matches the PS5 account.
  • You activated the network from the same Internet connection as the console.
  • The 24-hour network lease has not expired.
  • Manual DNS is still configured on the PS5.
  • After regenerating your Twitch key, you selected Reauthorize Twitch.

This feature is experimental: Sony or Twitch may change the domain or protocol used by the PS5. If every check passes, disable and reactivate the network in VPZONE before trying again.
